Scarves by FRANCI inspiration for our Peru Collection

The Highland luxury

Celebrated for centuries as the "Fibre of the Gods," our pure baby alpaca scarves are sourced through a beautiful partnership with traditional artisan communities in the high-altitude plains of Peru. This ethical collaboration empowers indigenous master weavers—predominantly mothers—by providing supportive, safe environments where they can craft from the comfort of their homes. This mindful approach preserves a sacred lineage of craftsmanship while ensuring a dignified livelihood that honours family and tradition.

Conscious integrity

True luxury must coexist harmoniously with the earth. Alpacas possess a uniquely efficient, highly gentle digestive system and soft, padded feet that graze without disrupting fragile grassland root structures or causing soil erosion. Every raw fleece we select is gathered through humane, stress-free shearing cycles that gather only the very first shear—known as baby alpaca. This premium grade guarantees an incredibly delicate, light-as-a-feather fiber that retains its natural brilliance and pure structural integrity.

natural sophistication

Alpaca fiber is naturally engineered for uncompromising comfort. It is completely hypoallergenic, containing no harsh oils or lanolin, meaning it naturally repels dust and toxins. Each delicate thread contains microscopic, hollow air pockets that act as a smart thermal barrier. These pockets trap body warmth when temperatures drop, yet breathe naturally to release coolness when warm, resulting in a versatile textile designed to drape elegantly across any season.

All our Alpaca scarves are produced from the fine hair fibres of the Peruvian Alpaca.
